From March 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028
OBJECTIVE
In the Greater Region (France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany), craft breweries are becoming increasingly numerous. Many of them want to produce flavorful beers from ingredients grown locally. However, organic, local barley and hops are sometimes difficult to find.
OUR OBJECTIVE IS TO CREATE A TRUE ORGANIC BREWING SECTOR ON A CROSS-BORDER SCALE
The Brass’Hop Bio project connects farmers, brewers and researchers to produce and process raw materials from the region, while respecting biodiversity, water quality and climate.
New organic varieties will be tested, processing tools will be developed, and trials to valorize brewery spent grains will be conducted.
Through this collaboration, local craft beers, respectful of the environment and terroir, will be able to emerge throughout the Greater Region.
PROJECT DATES
A CROSS-BORDER PROJECT AT THE HEART OF THE GREATER REGION
Brass’Hop Bio is part of a cooperative dynamic between France, Wallonia, Luxembourg and Germany. By combining the agricultural, brewing and scientific expertise of these territories, the project aims to structure a coherent and sustainable organic brewing sector on a cross-border scale.
