On February 3rd and 4th, partners of the Brass’Hop Bio project participated in the Hops Meeting in Lille, organized by the interprofession Interhoublon.
A second edition rich in encounters and exchanges around the sector.
Topics discussed included production methods, terroir effects, organic and local production, varietal innovations and global competition. Among others…
Many sector stakeholders were present. Obviously, producer associations came in large numbers from all corners of France to represent their members. There were also representatives from brewing associations and unions, technical or research institutes, as well as other ongoing projects like ours. CER Groupe, IFBM and the Lorraine Regional Natural Park were there!
A pitch session featured 4 projects presented to the meeting participants.
The Lorraine Regional Natural Park, as lead partner, had the opportunity to present the Brass’Hop Bio project in the hemicycle of the Hauts de France Regional Council, where the first day took place. A presentation of the main objectives and work modules to be identified, make ourselves known and multiply exchanges with sector stakeholders in order to create synergies between involved actors.
A very positive assessment for this first public outing. The French hop landscape is full of initiatives and projects working towards French sovereignty in terms of hops. It was therefore an important moment to integrate into this dynamic and be identified as a strong project in the coming years.
